Alcohol problems among the elderly

A social worker for the Elderly Hospital Team has drawn attention to the issue of drink problems among older people in the Isle of Man.

Rod Evans was speaking as part of the Drug and Alcohol Strategy's media campaign.

The campaign has been running for the last few months, and aims to highlight alcohol related issues affecting business owners, emergency services and the population here on the Island.

Mr Evans says problems facing older people with alcohol dependencies can be particularly difficult to deal with (audio file attached):
