Ramsey switch-on

by isleofman.com 1st December 2006
You’ll be able to get into the seasonal spirit in Ramsey this afternoon (Friday).

At 4.15pm, pupils from Sulby School will switch on the lights on the Britannia International tree, located in Parliament Square.

The youngsters were the winners of a 'Design a Christmas Tree Decoration' competition, run by the company.

Then at 4.45pm, the Royal British Legion Poppy Princess and her attendant will switch on the Rotary Club of Ramsey’s Christmas Tree and festive lighting outside the town’s courthouse.

Elsewhere in the Island, the switch-on in Port Erin takes place outside St Catherine's Church, while in Port St Mary, a carol service at the Baptist church begins at 7.30pm.
