BA Engineering jobs uncertainty

There's growing uncertainty over the future of hundreds of jobs at the BA Engineering facility at Ronaldsway.

The search continues for a new operator - after BA sold its regional airline business to Flybe. They seem set to retain their maintenance facility at Exeter.

Any new operator would have to bring-in a substantial volume of business to safeguard the staff employed by BA - but so far, there are no takers.

Transport and General Workers Union boss Bernard Moffatt is pressing the Department of Trade and Industry to do all it can to save the operation:
