Retirement age to increase
Retirement may seem a long way in the future for those in their twenties.

But it's going to get even more distant when new rules on the retirement age are adopted in the Isle of Man.

It's to go up by stages in the UK - and by the the year 2046, it will mean working until the age of 68 to get the state pension.

Reciprocal arrangements mean the Isle of Man is likely to follow the UK's lead.

Deputy Director of Pensions at the DHSS David Braide says the population is simply living longer:
