Local and national government to work closer?

A fresh start could be on the cards for a new working relationship between the House of Keys and Douglas Corporation.

As the dust settles after the General Election, South Douglas MHK David Cretney has written to the leader of Douglas Council calling for regular meetings between members of the Council and the Keys.

Mr Cretney says a line should be drawn under the disputes of the past - and now they must work together for the benefit of Douglas.

He says that is the right way forward: (first audio clip)
