Brown re-elected Speaker

Castletown MHK Tony Brown says he's delighted to have been re-elected as the Speaker of the House of Keys.

He was nominated by South Douglas MHK David Cretney, who described him as a man who acts without fear or favour, calls a spade a spade and will bring appropriate impartiality to the role of speaker.

After being seconded by East Douglas MHK Brenda Cannell, there were no further nominations and Mr Brown's re-election was met by a round of applause.
