McDonald sentence adjourned

The High Bailiff has adjourned sentence on a 46 year old man who assaulted his wife causing actual bodily harm.

David John McDonald of Cronk y Berry Avenue admitted the offence.

Inspector Helen Mason, prosecuting, said the couple were involved in a heated argument during the evening of August 15th.

The defendant grabbed her when she tried to get out of the house. She fell and hit an arm chair, and then fell threw a pane of glass. She sustained a severe wound to her thigh requiring surgery to remove a shard of glass.

McDonald was bailed until December 12th with a warning that custody was likely.
