Civil servant cleared

A retiring Manx politician says he is 'overjoyed' that an official inquiry has cleared a senior civil servant at the DHSS of any wrong-doing.

Trevor Cowin has been under investigation over alleged abuse of the e-mail system.

It was claimed Mr Cowin may have used it to bully or harass Civil Service Commission staff and that he breached confidentiality laws.

Former West Douglas MHK Dominic Delaney is political member for the DHSS.

He says Mr Cowin and a colleague were raising concerns over pensions - and he's delighted at the verdict:
