October sea passenger figures

by isleofman.com 22nd November 2006
Passenger figures for Douglas Harbour for October show a slight decrease on the figure for the same period last year.

41,135 people passed through the port last month, compared to 41,160 last year.

The year to date figure shows a 2.2% decrease in passengers over the same period and a 2% decrease for car and motorcycle traffic.

Director of Harbours Captain Mike Brew says that allowing for a slightly later school half-term break, the figures are broadly static, although with a 7% increase in growth on the Liverpool route since the return of Sea Express 1, the underlying trend is positive.
