FA launch investigation as police inquiries ongoing

by isleofman.com 18th November 2006
The Isle of Man Football Association has launched an investigation after a mass brawl at the end of yesterday’s (Saturday) Rushen-St Mary’s Division One clash.

A melee, believed to involve up to 40 people, including players and spectators, took place in the ground car park shortly after the match finished.

A police officer also attended and inquiries are ongoing.

The incident marred the action on the pitch where a Peter Langridge penalty sealed a 2-1 win for St Mary's to move them into second place in the table.
