Good progress in the Gulf

A recent Isle of Man government visit to the United Arab Emirates has further strengthened the our business ties to the Gulf.

That is according to Chief Minister Donald Gelling, who made the trip along with representatives from the Financial Supervision Commission, Insurance and Pensions Authority and Isle of Man Finance.

Along with visits to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the delegation was also invited to the emerging Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, which had the Isle of Man recommended to it as an economic model by other Gulf states.

Mr Gelling says this shows the high esteem the Island is held in throughout the region when it comes to business:
