Stroke awareness campaign

More information is needed to help people who suffer strokes cope with life AFTER they leave hospital.

That's the message to Manx residents from The Stroke Association as it launches its latest awareness campaign 'Nobody Told Me'.

The group says stroke patients' recovery is jeopordised because they aren't being given vital information on the lifestyle changes needed to prevent a future stroke.

The Association's Joe Korner says too many people are treated - then sent home without a clear understanding of their condition:
