TT safety campaign wins award

by isleofman.com 16th November 2006
A real team effort! That’s how the Island’s road safety manager, Gordon Edwards, has described his team’s success in winning a national award.

Road safety training co-ordinator, Andrea Georgeson; assistant road safety officer Kath Kelly and school crossing patrol officer, Vivienne Moore, yesterday received the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award for its successful Take it Easy campaign, run during this year’s TT.

Mr Edwards said only through evaluating previous years’ campaigns and by speaking to the public was such a strong campaign presented.

And from the vital work of the police right through to the design team at the Agency, he believes it's reward for an all-round effort.
