Farmer misses top prize

It is back to the early shift on the farm this morning (Tuesday) for a Baldrine man after his bid to become a national champion.

Dairy farmer Paul Fargher was one of three finalists in last week’s British Grassland Society Management Competition in Gloucestershire.

Paul, who took on the tenancy of Baldromma Farm in 1999, won the regional contest to qualify for the national award.

And while he missed out on the top prize, he was more than happy to have played his part:
