Voters in Douglas get the chance to question their House of Keys election candidates in person this week.

A series of old-fashioned public hustings have been organised for the four Douglas constituencies, starting tonight.

South Douglas voters are encouraged to attend the opening event at Douglas Golf Club, where candidates will introduce themselves before taking questions from the floor.

The meetings have been organised by Douglas Corporation.

Leader David Christian says open forum meetings aren't as common as they once were:

Tomorrow, candidates for the North Douglas seats will be in Willaston Methodist Hall. The spot-light switches to West Douglas and All Saints Church Hall on Wednesday.

The series will draw to a close in the Villa Marina Colonnade Suite, the venue for candidates in East Douglas on Thursday.

And all the meetings take place between 7.30 and 10pm.
