?750,000 for Children's Hospice

A three quarters of a million pound donation to the Mighty Oak Appeal will pay for a Children's Hospice in the Island.

The money has been given by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust.

'Rebecca House', named after the wealthy benefactor's wife, will form part of the new hospice close to Noble's Hospital, due to be completed in July 2007.

It will house four children's and two family bedrooms, and a children's lounge.
