Military men on Remembrance Walk

by isleofman.com 11th November 2006
Two ex-military men are walking two laps of the TT course to commemorate Remembrance Day. Locals Paul Drake and Phil Quirk set off from the TT Grandstand after observing the two minutes silence at eleven o'clock on Saturday morning. They're carrying 30lbs on their back and aim to finish the seventy five and a half miles in under 24 hours. The money they raise will be divided between the Poppy Appeal and Hospice Care. Phil says the work of the British Legion is invaluable: (Picture of TT Grandstand from IoM Guide)
