Second Steam Packet fast craft

by isleofman.com 10th November 2006
The Steam Packet will operate a second fast craft on its Isle of Man routes in 2007.

Superseacat Two will be joined by the twin-hulled Sea Express 1 which, the company says, will provide extra capacity from Liverpool, and improved travel opportunites on the summer season Irish routes from Belfast and Dublin.

The Ben My Chree will continue to operate twice daily services between Douglas and Heysham.

Managing Director Hamish Ross (pictured) hopes the extra Liverpool and Irish services will boost travel figures for visitors and residents.

And he is looking forward to next year's centenary TT festival as "the greatest motorcycle event ever staged".
