Marown crossing still dangerous - claim

There will be an horrendous accident outside Marown School unless a lollipop person returns to the area.

That is according to the Whitley Council's employees secretary, Bernard Moffatt, who says traffic lights installed in Glen Darragh Road are not sufficient.

The previous lollipop man, Michael Hunt was suspended by the DoT earlier this year for helping children cross at that very spot, away from his designated crossing point.

Mr Hunt's disciplinary hearing is due to take place later this month, and Mr Moffatt hopes both parties can resolve their differences:
