Ballymoney looks forward to twinning

by isleofman.com 9th November 2006
The people of the Northern Irish town, Ballymoney, are looking forward to strengthening their bond with Douglas.

That's according to Head of Corporate Services at Ballymoney borough council, Liz Johnston.

A new twinning agreement between the towns has been confirmed, and will be formalised later this month.

Ballymoney was the home of the late Joey Dunlop, who won 26 T.T races on the Island.

Mrs Johnston says affection for him is just one thing the areas have in common.
