New carry-on luggage rules

New rules for passengers on airplanes came into effect yesterday following restrictions brought in after August’s terrorism alert.

New European rules about what can and can’t be taken onto a flight have been issued to all airports, including Ronaldsway.

It means some liquids can now be taken aboard planes, but only under certain conditions.

Airport Director Philip Pain says the new regulations can’t be simply summed up, and his advice is for people to look at the new rules themselves on the internet:
