FlyBe confident of success

FlyBe says it is confident it can turn round the fortunes of the BA Connect network after reaching an agreement to buy the regional airline.

Chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, says although British Airways is selling off the arm because it can’t make routes profitable, FlyBe has a strategy for the routes.

Representatives from FlyBe are to meet Transport Minister Phil Braidwood this week to discuss what the sale will mean to the Island.

Mr Rutter says the path to success for BA Connect’s routes is a familiar one:
