Major fire on Douglas Head

Fire crews will continue to survey Douglas Head throughout the day after a major gorse fire.

It is thought to have been caused by a stray firework.

Emergency services were called out just after 11 last night (Sunday), and 45 firefighters were needed to bring the blaze under control after 4 hours.

No one was hurt, and no property in the area was damaged.
