Protect pets from fireworks

by isleofman.com 4th November 2006
You may enjoy fireworks but your pets certainly don't.

That's the message from the MSPCA this bonfire weekend.

Every year there are problems with animals going missing or getting injured because of carelessness.

Pet owners are advised to keep them indoors for the duration of the festivities.

Manager of the MSPCA, Lynne Renshaw, says it can be an extremely distressing time, and they certainly notice the affect of fireworks at the sanctuary.

There is also a warning to anyone who's planning a bonfire to check for hedgehogs before lighting it.
