Government to meet Flybe next week

by isleofman.com 3rd November 2006
The transport minister says it is too early to comment on how the Isle of Man will be affected by the acquisition of BAConnect by Flybe.

Phil Braidwood, and Chief Executive of the DoT, Ian Thompson, will meet representatives of both companies within the next week.

The talks are likely to focus on issues such as routes, services and employment.

They will take place in the Isle of Man and the DoT says it is looking forward to discussing Flybe's plans for the future.

The DoT has been given initial briefings by both companies, following confirmation by Flybe it has reached agreement in principle to acquire BAConnect.
