If you have been wondering why your email seems so slow this week, blame the spammers.
Manx Telecom says it has seen the number of junk emails coming into the Island jump from 4 million a week to around 16 million.
As a result, the company’s servers have been overwhelmed and genuine emails have been held up.
Graham Shimmin, Manx Telecom’s product manager, says the company is trying to deal with the problem:
