Grieving family say thanks

by isleofman.com 2nd November 2006
The family of the four year old boy who died in an accident in Douglas last Thursday have thanked the Manx community for its support.

Doreen Quayle, Carol Gilmour and Roy Hall, the family of Liam Hall, issued a statement through the Island’s police force this afternoon.

In it, they say Liam will be sadly missed by his family but they would like to pass on their heartfelt thanks to the Isle of Man.

In their statement, they ask for special thanks to be passed on to the police, particularly family liaison officers Gary Hardman, Rosie Hawes and Lesley Taylor.

They also thank the emergency services personnel who attended the scene after Liam was run over by a mobile crane.

The message adds: ‘The whole family have been touched by their professionalism and more importantly for the exceptional kindness, generosity and their personal help. Without their help, this tragic time would have been intolerable.’

‘You have done yourself proud. Many thanks.’
