Election specials start tonight

Manx Radio's traditional series of pre-election studio discussion programmes is about to get underway.

Starting this evening (Wednesday) with Ayre, we'll be working through the constituencies in alphabetical order, giving all the candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves and discuss the issues which have featured in the campaign.

The programmes run for 55 minutes from 6:05 pm, on AM and FM, and will be repeated at midday, on AM only, the following day.

Another election feature which has just been launched is Manx Radio's Fantasy Tynwald.

The game, with a prize of a weekend break, is on our election micro-site, and can be accessed by going to Manx Radio.com and following the links.

News editor Graham Bell says in one way it's a bit of fun, but there is a serious, educational side to it aswell:
