Election countdown underway

The countdown to the General Election is underway.

Nominations close on Monday for candidates wishing to stand in the various constituencies around the Island.

The election this year will see several changes from previous elections, including of course 16 year olds voting for the first time, and an extension of voting hours.

And for those involved in the electoral process, former returning officer John Wright says new procedures will be apparent on Monday:
