by isleofman.com 26th October 2006
A 27 year old man has been fined ?250 by the High Bailiff.

Christopher Adrian Loder of Stanley Mount West, Ramsey, admitted two offences of handling stolen goods.

Sergeant Darren Bradford, prosecuting, said the defendant bought six Manx Pronto top up cards which had been stolen in November 2005 following a burglary at the garage in Union Mills.

Loder said he was offered them by a man he did not know and bought them because they were cheap.

He was arrested in July this year and admitted that he'd bought them for ?35, sold five and kept one for his own use.

His advocate said the defendant was not involved in the burglary and apologised for his actions.
