Strongest man on TV

by isleofman.com 24th October 2006
The competition to find Britian's strongest man, which was filmed on the island in August, is to be shown on television this afternoon.

It was the first time the island had hosted this kind of event.

It featured ten finalists taking on a variety of tasks including lifting vans and pulling trucks.

Tourism Minister David Cretney says he hopes it will provide some excellent publicity for the Isle of Man.

The programme will be shown this afternoon on Sky Sports extra at 4:30 pm.
