The Liberal Vannin party has announced its eighth candidate for November's general election.
Former Police Inspector, Roy Redmayne, will challenge long standing Castletown member and Speaker of the House of Keys, Tony Brown.
Mr Brown has been unchallenged since 1996.
Mr Redmayne lives in Castletown and will be the party's spokesman on Law and Order.
