Robert Owen House

by isleofman.com 20th October 2006
Over 3500 slates donated by Isle of Man residents are currently being laid on the roof of the new bedroom wing of Robert Owen House in Liverpool.

The slates were purchased by way of a tombola scheme organised by the "Friends of Robert Owen House", here on the Island.

Construction of the ?340,000 bedroom extension will bring the total number of beds available to 34, and is expected to be completed by early spring next year.

The house provides accommodation for family members of patients in the Cardiothoracic Hospital at Broad Green in Liverpool, who are undergoing life saving heart and lung treatment.
