Escaped pelican crossing

A European pink-backed Pelican from the Curragh's Wildlife Park is recovering after escaping to a Scottish holiday park.

The bird was discovered close to a lake at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park in Berwick earlier this month.

He took flight from the Wildlife Park in August.

He's being cared for by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Richard Halsall from the Park says he's not in the best of health:
