Nursing Conference hailed a success

by isleofman.com 18th October 2006
The Tri-Island Nursing Conference, which was held on the Isle of Man this week, has been hailed a great success.

Noble's Hospital's Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Bev Critchlow, who organised the event, said it was well received by all those who attended.

The conference is held annually between the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey and this year saw over 100 nurses, midwives and health visitors coming together from the three Islands.

Bev Critchlow said although the healthcare systems on each of the islands is different, there are certain things in common, and all deliver care to small communities in relative isolation from the United Kingdom.

She said the conference saw excellent examples of innovative nursing practice being highlighted and shared, which will help improve patient care on the Isle of Man.
