Ambulance waits on a Quarterbridge move

The Government is still waiting to see if the TT landmark, the QuarterBridge Hotel can be used as the ambulance headquarters.

Answering a series of questions on what use 'Old Nobles' (pictured) is currently being put to, it is pointed out that a report into the future of the hospital buildings is being held up because of the current uncertainty over that point.

The DHSS need 'surety' that the proposal to relocate the ambulance can go ahead, before the report can go to the Council of Ministers.

It is also noted in the answer that it cost over ?100,000 in the last year to maintain and repair the fabric of the former main hospital on Westmorland Road.
