MEA investigation will be costly

Legal investigations into the MEA's financial affairs will be lengthy - and could prove very expensive for tax payers in the Isle of Man.

That from Treasury Minister Allan Bell, as questions over the MEA's ?120 million unauthorised loan were raised in Tynwald today.

This session gives a last opportunity for members to debate the scandal before the General Election next month.

Mr Bell told parliament the truth about the legality of the loan and the MEA's dealings HAD to be established - whatever it took:
