Different views on Knock Rushen scheme

There's been a mixed reaction in Castletown to news 41 new homes are to be built at the southern beauty spot Knock Rushen.

Despite 13 years of campaigning against the development by the pressure group Save our Scarlett, planning approval has been given to Hartford Homes.

However, many of the recommendations of the independent inspector who considered the case are based on the 2001 emerging plan, which has not yet been ratified by Tynwald.
