Jurby plans to go on show

by isleofman.com 13th October 2006
Plans for a housing development which could breathe new life into Jurby will be unveiled next week.

Treasury approval has been given for the transformation of 20 acres of ex-Ministry of Defence land.

The scheme would see over 100 new homes, along with community facilities and supporting infrastructure, being built.

The Department of Local Government and the Environment will exhibit its proposals in the Village Hall from October 18 to 20.

Ramsey MHK Anne Craine, who is a member of the department, says the development would help to transform Jurby's wartime legacy into a village with a great future.
