Palatine Health Centre to move?

by isleofman.com 14th October 2006
A planning application in principle has been submitted for a new medical centre at Strang Corner field alongside Noble's Hospital.

The current Palatine Health Centre would be moved to the new premises in Braddan.

It had been hoped that another town centre site could be found for a new facility but nothing suitable, with adequate parking, was available.

The number of patients using the Palatine Road Centre has increased dramatically in recent years and the new surgery will be twice the size in floor area of the present facility.

Health Minister Steve Rodan (pictured) says he's delighted to make the announcement following many years of searching for suitable town centre sites and he is thanking Braddan Commissioners for making land available.
