Minister relaunches shipyard

The newly refurbished Ramsey shipyard has been officially opened.

Minister for Trade and Industry Alex Downie performed the ceremony to mark the completion of the ?1.3 million scheme.

The company involved, Booth W Kelly (2003), works in a number of areas, not all marine related.

Mr Downie (pictured) says he was delighted to be able to perform the ceremony as only three years ago it looked as if the business may have disappeared forever (audio file attached):

Despite the diversification of the yard Mr Downie is confident it won't be too long before the new yard starts buildinging fishing boats again (audio file attached):
