Island plays host to conference

The United Kingdom National Conference of the charity Crimestoppers has been held in the Isle of Man, for the first time.

The event attracted over a hundred delegates from regional boards and the organisations central office, together with volunteers and police officers.

Chief Executive of Crimestoppers UK, Mick Laurie, says the success of the charity is down to the fact it can guarantee anonimity to callers (audio file attached):
