Ponies destroyed on dead owner's request

by isleofman.com 12th October 2006
Two ponies have been put down after their elderly owner made the request in her will.

A last minute attempt to stop them being destroyed was unsuccessful, even though there had been offers to look after them.

The request was carried out on the orders of the executor, in Ballaugh this afternoon.

A caller called Geraldine, from the village, rang Manx Radio two hours before the action was taken (audio file attached):

Despite Geraldine's efforts the ponies were destroyed.
