Chief Constable praises Manx force

by isleofman.com 12th October 2006
The Island’s Chief Constable has hailed the Manx force as the 'best team' he’s worked with during his seven years at the helm.

And Mike Culverhouse has stressed the force has nothing to hide.

His comments came after a Tynwald select committee, examining the independence of the Island’s police complaints system, heavily criticised the force.

Former inspector with Greater Manchester Police, Castletown man Roy Redmayne – whose complaint led to the probe – has since called for a change of culture and a new Chief Constable to ensure the Island has a more independent police force.
