Air passengers in close call

by isleofman.com 12th October 2006
Details are being released of how a Euromanx passenger flight between the Isle of Man and Manchester flew dangerously close to the ground as it came into land in the UK.

The crew was only alerted when a GPWS in-cockpit warning device went off on the final approach to Manchester airport.

The incident happened in January of this year.

The plane, which had 17 passengers on board, touched down safely.

A report on the incident is being published by the Air Accidents Investigation
Branch.
