Myers on probation

by isleofman.com 12th October 2006
A 24 year old man has been placed on probation for two years.

Jonathan Myers of Christian Road in Douglas appeared for sentence after admitting several offences last month, including damaging property, assaulting a police officer, escaping lawful custody and destroying property.

Mr Moyle imposed conditions on the defendant. He is to be tagged and observe an 8pm to 8am curfew, reside at David Grey House, and submit to up to four random drug tests a week.

Mr Moyle told Myers the sentence could be seen as an alternative to a 9 month prison sentence, and he warned against any breach being committed as Myers would be brought straight back to court.
