Manx Space School cadet

A Isle of Man student who attended NASA's International Space School in Houston, Texas, says it was two of the best weeks of her life.

Freya Garey won a scholarship to attend the course after winning an Island wide essay competition in a programme run jointly by local space industry firm MannSat and the Department of Education.

The course aims to introduce students to the various disciplines working in human space flight, and allow them to receive hands-on training from NASA astronauts and scientists.
