Manslaughter defendants bailed

Two men charged with manslaughter have made a further appearance before the High Bailiff.

46 year old Phillip Alexander Firth of Glen Road, Laxey, and David Martin Jones, aged 51, of Coburg Road Ramsey, have each been bailed in the sum of ?1000 by Mr Montgomery to appear again on December 12th.

Peter Carle prosecuting said it was expected that a committal would take place on that date.

13 year-old cyclist James Berry of Governor’s Hill died last December after being struck by a tyre from a passing truck whilst he was riding with friends near Greeba on the main Peel Road.
