Douglas Corporation has stepped up the fight against crime, with the acquisition of a portable CCTV system.
The four cameras will be used in "trouble spots" throughout the borough and recordings will be used to progress prosecutions.
Leader of the Council, David Christian, says the cameras will be positioned in public and private areas, and moved around to maximum effect.
