Government review 'should spark debate'

The review of the scope and structure of government may contain some controversial recommendations, but its author says he hopes it will spark debate.

Robert Quayle (pictured) the chairman of the committee which produced the report, says the findings aren’t set in stone and don’t necessarily have to be implemented.

The report’s recommendations including creating new departments and privatising some services.

But Mr Quayle says he hopes the document will lead to a rethink of how the Isle of Man government operates:
